Day 1: Why I’m Starting To Write Online
I recently signed up for Dickie Bush & Nicolas Cole’s cohort-based course, Ship 30 for 30.
Here are a few reasons why:
-
I want to connect with teachers from every corner of the earth. I currently teach French master students who are becoming English teachers, and I love it. It’s amazing connecting with like-minded people in your profession and guiding them. I see online blogging as a platform to teach but also learn and connect with teachers around the world.
-
I love teaching and foreign languages. These are subjects that I am passionate about and would like to dive deeper. Writing will not only help my own understanding but it can also bring useful knowledge to others! I remember being a new service teacher. How difficult it was to make or find resources. How difficult it was teaching a foreign language to unenthusiastic students. I hope my passion can help a foreign language teacher get through a difficult day if they need.
-
For a long time, I’ve wanted to create something online. It feels like every person and their dog has a blog, instagram, social media or youtube. Still, I’ve been too scared to make something of my own. I’ve watched others attract several amazing opportunities, thanks to their blogs. I would like to have these same opportunities one day.
Over the next 30 days, I plan on writing about all my tips and tricks for teaching foreign languages.
Join me on this adventure—and let me know if you have any questions along the way!
I’m excited to start sharing what I know online.
